Engage in traditional Timbersports events such as chopping, sawing, axe throwing, and log rolling. Learn new and innovative skills regarding lumberjack sports and equipment.
Our Club practices three main disciplines consisting of chopping, sawing, and chainsaw events like: Vertical and Horizontal Chopping, Single and Double-Buck Sawing, Obstacle Pole, and Power Saw. These events are individually scored and use very different physical skills and abilities to complete. There are also several open events such as Axe Throwing, Log Rolling, and Caber Toss. We attend several competitions throughout the semester located all across the Western US from California to Montana to down in Arizona. We teach proper and safe use of chainsaws, axes, and other forestry equipment.
