Dog Agility Club of CSU

Dog Agility Club of CSU

About

Dog Agility is a great sport for owners and dogs, and this club aims to bring this sport to collegiate settings. There will be opportunities for members with a lot of experience, no experience, and anything in-between. We hope to consistently give our members opportunities for volunteering, dog training lessons and clinics, competitions locally and country wide, and more.

Dog Agility includes jumps, teeter totters, A-frames, dog walks, tunnels, weave poles, and more- in different set ups and courses. It is a great bonding experience for both the dog and it's owner. It is great for any fitness level, age, skill level, etc. Any one and any dog is capable! It is a great way to further your dog's training while having fun. Plus you can bond with other people and your dog can meet new friends!

You do not need to own a dog to be a member, but to participate in some activities you must have access to one. You might have opportunities to borrow other members or other local dogs.

There will be social events with and without the dogs. We plan on volunteering in many different settings and just going to competitions for fun and to support the community. We plan on doing group practices, hikes, and other dog related activities. We will  have clinics on dog training, health, and more throughout the year. We want to foster a healthy community for CSU students and their pups!

Our club is a member of the IDAA- "Intercollegiate Dog Agility Association". This is a relatively new program through USDAA. For more information about this see their website.
